I’m a 59 yr. old woman who used to jog regularly until my knees began complaining. For the past ten years I’ve had a horrible time finding shoes that don’t injure my feet. I have scar tissue from micro tears in the planta fascia; I have a bunion on my left big toe, I have very high arches. I have been saying for years I wish a shoe company would make a shoe that feels the same as when I’m barefoot in my house – I never wear shoes in the house. When I’m barefoot is the only time my feet don’t hurt. It never occurred to me to try wearing my pool shoes to walk in. I tried it out this morning on the elyptical machine (where my feet always go to sleep with shoes on) and I was amazed at how comfortable I was! As soon as the snow melts I plan to walk in them. I was tempted to go for the Nike Free or the Vibram funny shoes, but think I’ll save my $$.

You don’t have to remember to bring your shoes with you on a trip.
Nothing makes you feel younger than running barefoot in the rain!

im a 19 yr old avid runner and i have been suffering from stress fractures in both my shins for the last 4 years. After trying countless brands and styles of typical stabylizing running shoes and expensive orthotics, and finally being sidelined during my senior cross country season, i stumbled upon vibram five fingers. Greatest shoes ever! After taking time off to let my shins heal i started running in them and i havnt had a problem since and even did my first 1/2 marathon in them and felt great. Now that the snow’s melted im planning on switching to running totally barefoot. I go barefoot just about everywhere else now as my school allows you to go barefoot in all the buildings except the labs and dining halls. I feel totally natural barefoot and makes running just that much better :)

There are energies in our mother earth that can enter us through our feet but if we put rubber or cement in between us and she, we limit our bodies to what they can do.

To remove my bunions!! Plus my feet are so weak it’s leading to bad posture, with hunched shoulders and a paunch, and weak skinny knock-kneed legs. Running barefoot will strengthen the arches because it’s natural.
